Over the weekend I saw a story in the news about a woman getting bullied for breaching lockdown last year.
Pardon my French... or don't...
But that is some bull-sheet.
Put your mind back in the distant year of 2019.
Then ask yourself if this strikes you as the behavior of a sane and healthy people living in a well-functioning country:
During the two years of pandemic life, police and other government agencies received 57,371 reports of Covid breaches during the various lockdowns. People were dobbed in for driveway drinks with their neighbours; for walking with people outside their bubble.
Nothing wrong here. Perfectly ordinary behavior by a sane and well-adjusted people.
The lady in the article took a lot of grief from the cops for traveling without having the right kind of exemption. In simpler terms, she didn’t have papers in order and properly stamped by the police to leave Auckland.
Pause after that statement.
Reflect on that.
New Zealand, a country with the nerve to call itself "free and democratic", requiring the police to approve your right to travel.
Whatever you think about "that disease", that is absolute madness.
Useless madness, as it turned out, just as I've said since April 2020. It was obvious to anyone with a clue that these measures were doomed from the start.
Besides going against all pandemic best practices, and even setting aside the WTF nature of the sheer invasion of personal private life, you are not going to command and control a human population so as to out-think a contagious disease.
Frankly, I may never trust a cop or a doctor ever again after seeing this play out.
Their trustworthiness as a profession took a nose-dive off a cliff before exploding into flaming carnage.
Anywho, this lady took the backlash pretty hard:
“I started suffering from severe anxiety,” says Johnson. “I was sitting at the desk, and my heart rate was up over 140 beats a minute. I was having panic attacks.”
My advice to her?
Stop playing this nonsense game.
Oh if I just give the Gestapo my excuses they'll take pity on me.
No.
The angle of attack here is simple:
We don't do this in countries like ours.
This is unacceptable.
Stop with the limp-noodle defensiveness.
Go on the path of righteous attack.
So many folks in the crowd want to go along to get along, accepting more and more bureaucrat love into all parts of life.
“Well it’s just how it is,” they mutter to themselves.
Yes. If that is your attitude, Eeyore, then that is how it is.
If you found your backbone, stood up for what you really thought instead of following the peer pressure, you’d be interested to know how little of these measures were necessary.
As often as I hear from Kiwis to “harden up”, these same tough-guys sure did curl up like scared children as soon as the TV told them to.
This lady is one of the believers. She’s been hard done by, don’t get me wrong. Her own government and her own neighbours turned on her.
But she’s also got to accept her own responsibility.
She thinks that if she plays by the rules, she'll be okay.
No matter how crazy, inane, intrusive, or even flat-out illegal the rules.
Crazy inane rules come from crazy inane leadership. They’re enforced by uncaring thugs, who are themselves drones in the pitiless machinery of state.
Meek agreement with this situation is insanity, of course, but we’ve been so programmed and acclimatized to doing what the Hive Mind does that only a small percentage can even form the thought of disobedience.
The only right answer is "get lost"... and then go break more rules.
I don't care if you disagree. I don't care if you want to argue with me on this.
What you think doesn't matter. If you disagree, you got all your thoughts from TV and social media, so what you “think” [sic] is irrelevant.
If you don't want to live in a hellscape with 24/7 surveillance enabled by mindless thugs who will beat you for a paycheck, you'd be smart to agree.
Don't break rules for the sake of rage, as you devolve from a voyeur to a sucker. If you insist to be saboteur, be a player saboteur (charity monger). If you want real results, be a player consumer ("power of the powerless"). Player Operators are not the game. https://imgur.com/gallery/TJkwOK9
